99 dakota 3.9L V6 PCM

Maybe a little off topic but I'm hoping some one here can help.
Anyone know where I can get a PCM for this TV?
I've seen prices from $200 to $600. Money's tight and I would like the truck to run reliably. Right now it cuts off any time any where but always when hot.
Other boards I've looked at suggest a PCM problem. I added 2 12VDC fans blowing on the PCM and so far it works. What happens when the fans quit? Eh?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

OK, new lurker here. I've been trying to find out just what a "hybrid TT" is. I've searched and read and am still either in a very dark closet or just dumb.
Can some one define just what a hybrid TT is?:?
PS... hope this doesn't start a fire here....

RE: weighty subject

LAdams, Thanks for the NADA suggestion. It does have the weight, which I assume(yeah, I know what that's worth) is the dry weight. At least it'll give me a starting point to know if I even want to consider the TT.
Thanks

RE: weighty subject

I understand it may be in the tt, but if I'm looking online, it doesn't help.

weighty subject

I've been looking at TT's for some time now and this forum even longer.
The thing that irritates me when I look at used TT's is they post no weights. I've been looking for used TT's 2002-2006 due to $$ and I can't seem to find what their dry weights are any where on the web.
Important since I'll be towing with a 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota.
Anyone here know of a spot to find the weights of used TT's?
Thanks folks

RE: Hybrid Class A

I read somewhere that you would have to drive 1.2 million miles to justify buying a large SUV hybrid. Most large hybrids are more hype than savings unless most of your driving is city. I wonder how much a 400HP electric motor would weigh?
Just checked; from 2900 to 3900 #. Voltage requirements are 240 to 500 VDC..... Wonder how long the batteries would last? 4-5 miles? ;)

RE: Cabover leaks-A new discussion

Just a possible idea: AFTER you get it dry, sealed and tested, don't forget testing, you might consider the expanding, insulating foam as a backing for the entire area. I gets into lots of small areas and sets up stiff so it might add enough support to limit or elliminate the flexing. I don't remember the name but it's at Home Depot.

RE: Beaver Monterey vibrations

Just an idea, but have you looked at/checked the engine mounts? I do NOT know diesels so I'm not sure they have the same type as gas engines. Just a dumb idea.

Have you considered going to a metal fabrication shop near you? They may cost less to build a new impeller than buying a new pump.....
Just an idea.

propane & tunnels

When I lived in MD and drive the DC & Balt beltways on a regular basis, I seem to remember them having no propane signs.
Anybody have experience/tickets/etc. on this issue in MD or anywhere else for that matter?

RE: Delete Vista/Install XP

There might also be an issue with the warranty on the new PC. The mfg may void your warranty if you go back to XP from Vista.

RE: BIG time confused

c&cschroed says to get the idiots guide. I've checked at Amazon, Borders and Barnes & Nobel's for the latest version and find it was printed in April, 2006.
I think that's a little old to be helping me decide what to buy even if it has general info pertinent to purchasing an RV. I can't afford to make a mistake.
I'll keep reading here, show going, dealer roaming, RV'r talking, etc. Then, if I make a mistake it'll be mine and not someone else's. Nobody to blame but me then....:-) Dan

RE: BIG time confused

Thanks folks, most are VERY good ideas, and some laughs also....
I'll be going to a show in Jan here in St. Lucie county FL and I'm trying to get some education before then ha, ha.
I especially like the idea of pretending to do some chores in the various spaces.
Thanks again, I won't shut up, nor go away... just keep reading & looking
